Reserve Academy
The Wichita Police Reserve Training Academy consists of up to 200 hours (14 weeks) of instruction. This training will help prepare you to work with people, handle emergencies, exercise leadership, and do everything from helping a child to conducting criminal investigations. You will be trained in:
On Duty Training
After graduation from the Academy, you will be assigned to work with an experienced Field Training Officer. You will complete at least 200 hours in the field training program. This will further equip you to serve as a commissioned Wichita Police Reserve Officer.
